Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s team has reacted to the rumours of her being dropped from her upcoming movies because of her health condition
Pan-Indian star Samantha Ruth Prabhu has impressed the audience with her performance as an actress. She became the talk of the town after her stint in Manoj Bajpayee starrer Family Man 2. Her appearance in Koffee with Karan season 7 and Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa’s ‘Oo Antava’ song made her one of the most sought-after actresses in the country. In November, she took to her official social media handles to open up about undergoing treatment for an auto-immune condition called myositis.
While, the actress was seen back in her spirits when she was promoting her recently release movie Yashoda, soon rumours started buzzing that she is being dropped from her upcoming projects due to her health issues. Those projects include Kushi, a Bollywood movie that also stars Vijay Deverakonda, and the Hindi version of Citadel, starring Varun Dhawan. In a recent interaction with Indian Express her team has now clarified that the actress is still very much a part of those projects. As reported by Bollywood Life, her representative Mahindra expressed that Samantha is currently resting, but she will be shooting for Kushi in January. He went on to reveal that “due to the unforeseen circumstances, the shootings of these projects will be delayed by about six months.”
He also shared that the 35-year-old actress had given dates for her Hindi movie in January as she won’t be able to join the shoot in April or May. Aware of the fact that it’s not good to make anyone wait, her team has been coordinating with the filmmakers about the same. Quoted by the entertainment portal, he said, “We have been giving the clarity (to the makers) from the beginning to proceed according to the planned schedules if it is not possible to wait. Samantha has not walked out of any of the accepted projects officially. So far there is no truth in the news reports about her departure from her upcoming projects.”
On the work front, she also has upcoming films ‘Shaakuntalam’ and ‘Arrangements Of Love’ in the pipeline.
